The company has been included in the UNEP database — the United Nations Environment Programme — which allows financial institutions to easily access tools useful for climate risk assessment.

The Sustainability Risk Tool Dashboard was launched in June 2023 as part of the working group within UNEP dedicated to risk assessment.
Since then, it has been updated quarterly. It is an open database designed to help financial institutions worldwide navigate the landscape of tools for assessing environmental, social, and pollution-related risks associated with climate change. It features a curated selection by UNEP, on a global scale, of around 100 useful tools, each accompanied by usage guides and case studies.
Among them, the latest dashboard update included the “Climate Sentinel Scenario” suite of services, which analyzes current risks and develops future climate projections. This enables users to forecast the impact of climate change on specific areas and sectors, helping to mitigate the risks linked to the increasing frequency of extreme weather events and to protect economic activities.
This medium- to long-term vision guides, for example, strategic policies and investments in various industrial sectors, from insurance to energy, from finance to agriculture.
“We are proud to be part of this climate risk ‘toolbox’ promoted by the United Nations, said Francesco Dell’Orco, CEO & Co-founder of Hypermeteo. This achievement rewards the quality of our work and, at the same time, highlights how the climate emergency demands the development of scenarios with a high level of representativeness. Industrial activities — which have cascading effects across various supply chains and the entire fabric of SMEs — need concrete support in risk assessment, ESG policy definition and monitoring, and investment planning, to steer their strategies toward more efficient and sustainable choices.”
